The ride home today from the hospital was more fun, because it was around the time that mail is delivered. Today there were three cards. Sue was really happy to get them. It is so nice to get feel connected to friends and family.
Sue wanted me to make sure to thank everybody for their cards and messages.
Today was also better than yesterday in that although it was an eight hour hospital visit, she received two units of blood. Now she has much more energy. The fever still shows up from time to time, and the Cipro is still causing some nausea, but between the blood and cards (and a little tv) things felt better.
Oh, yes. And tomorrow she has off.
We're thankful that today was a better day. Hey! Maybe the "mi sheberach" I said at shul this morning helped!! :-)
I can't promise that these mi sheberachs do anything except make me feel better, but I can let you know that we're thinking positive thoughts and sending warmest wishes your way.
And if you'd like the mi sheberach to be more "kosher," please send me your Hebrew name and your mother's.
Love,
Renee

Yes, I hope tomorrow is better. I'm off to Toronto, so you may not hear from me for a while.

Oh, and I'm finally feeling better from the cold that started when I was in D.C. last week. I had a serious cough all week, so it's just as well I didn't visit.

It's wonderful to know what's going on via these messages and the blog. Thanks, Daniel. Sue, keep up that famous determination and fighting spirit. We all love and miss you.
