Today, Sue would have been 55 years old. It is just over three years since she died. She has lived on in so many ways, in the hearts of her family and numerous friends who remember her caring ways and brilliant mind. And for many others who did not know her, but lives have been saved based on the medical advances she helped bring. I heard from her doctor that the research based on her care continues. I've read a medical journal article that indicates that others are using the same drug to survive.
And then there are hundreds in our local area who have masks that my campaign has donated in her honor. Sue died of a respiratory illness. These masks have been donated to the local VA Medical Center, local Post Office, small businesses and charities. She wanted others to have a chance for life thanks to her sacrifices. These masks are her birthday gifts for those who want to pass on that love of life that she had.
Love,
Daniel
